Georgraphy Course Content

Studying geography at the A Level provides students with the opportunity to explore contemporary events and issues that relate to their everyday lives. This includes topics such as environmental concerns and an understanding of global changes and inequalities. The staff are dedicated to fostering a passion for the subject while working diligently to help all students achieve their highest potential grades. Many students choose to pursue Geography or related fields at university.

The curriculum is organized into three main strands: physical, human, and environmental geography. Synoptic assessment encourages students to gain a comprehensive understanding of geography by integrating these different aspects of the subject. Investigative work, which draws on evidence from primary sources, including fieldwork, as well as secondary sources, allows students to develop a wide range of practical skills and techniques, such as data collection, analysis, and inquiry.
